Descemet’s membrane

Descemet’s membrane is the thin, tough membrane on which the corneal endothelium sits. It forms the boundary between that inner cell layer and the main body of the cornea.

Its name appears in the labels of modern transplant techniques, because this membrane together with the endothelium is exactly what they transfer.
