Femto-LASIK

Femto-LASIK is LASIK in which the flap is created by a femtosecond laser rather than a mechanical blade. The step is bladeless and flap thickness can be controlled more precisely.

The remainder of the procedure runs as in conventional LASIK, reshaping tissue with an excimer laser.
