YAG capsulotomy

YAG capsulotomy is an outpatient laser procedure that treats posterior capsule opacification. The laser makes a small opening in the clouded back wall of the capsule and light passes freely again.

It takes a few minutes, involves no incision, and vision usually improves quickly. The procedure does not need repeating.
