EDOF lens
Also known as: extended depth of focus lens
An EDOF lens creates one elongated zone of sharpness instead of several separate focal points. The transition between distances is therefore smoother.
It tends to be a compromise between a monofocal and a multifocal lens: fewer light phenomena at night, but usually weaker vision at very close range.
