Welcome to the Očné Sasinkova eye clinic.
We are a modern private eye clinic in Bratislava. Our aim is to provide complete eye care for adults and children alike, in comfortable surroundings and with individual attention for every patient.

Eye examinations for children from the age of five, prescriptions for glasses, assessment of squint and lazy eye.

Diagnosis and monitoring of glaucoma, including measurement of intraocular pressure and visual field testing (perimetry).

Fundus examination: prevention and diagnosis of retinal changes, for instance in diabetes or high blood pressure.

What to know before your visit
We see patients by appointment, booked online or by phone. The appointment time is approximate and may shift in case of acute conditions or a more demanding examination. The examination itself usually takes 20 to 30 minutes. If dilating drops are needed, allow a further 15 to 20 minutes for them to take effect.
What to bring with you
- A valid insurance card
- The glasses you currently wear
- Contact lenses and their cases, if you use them
- A referral, if you have one
- Medical reports from previous examinations
A note for contact lens wearers
Please come without your contact lenses in. Take them out at least two hours beforehand.
Important for drivers
After dilating drops your vision may be temporarily blurred and sensitive to light. Bear that in mind when planning your journey home.

Ophthalmologist
MUDr. Petra Šarišská, FEBO
She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University in Bratislava. She began her professional practice at the Paediatric Ophthalmology Clinic of the National Institute of Children’s Diseases and continued at the University Hospital Bratislava. She also gained experience at private eye clinics in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
In Paris she passed the examination before the European Board of Ophthalmology and earned the FEBO title, an internationally recognised confirmation of expertise. Her work covers comprehensive outpatient care.
Ophthalmologist
MUDr. Katarína Besedová
She is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University in Bratislava. She obtained her specialisation in ophthalmology at the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava.
She has worked at several eye clinics and in outpatient practice in Bratislava and Piešťany. She also gained valuable professional experience during a period in the United Kingdom. At the clinic her work covers prevention, diagnosis and comprehensive eye examinations.

Important information about payment
This price list is valid from 1 January 2026. The final price depends on the extent of the procedure and will be given to you after the examination. Procedures covered by insurance are provided under the applicable contractual terms.
