Contact lenses

Contact lenses sit directly on the surface of the eye and correct refractive error without spectacles. They come in soft and rigid designs and with various replacement intervals.

They demand hygiene and adherence to the recommended wearing schedule. Before an eye examination it is advisable to remove them at least two hours beforehand so the corneal surface settles.
